Chicken Tikka Salad

This is a  mixed salad consisting of  boneless chicken pieces marinated in hung curd and garam masala and served on a bed of spring onion , cucumber, onion and lettuce leaves.


It serves as a healthy no fuss dinner — when you are too tired to make dinner or too bored with regular dal , rice and curry., then this dish comes to your rescue .  🙂

Star Ingredient :

Boneless chicken

Main Ingredients :

  • 500 gm of boneless chicken breasts cut into cubes
  • 4 to 5 tablespoon of hung curd
  • 2 teaspoon of ginger garlic chilli paste
  • Juice of one lemon
  • 2 teaspoon of garam masala powder
  • 2 teaspoon of tandoori chicken masala
  • 1 teaspoon of red chilli powder
  • Vegetable oil for grilling the chicken
  • salt to taste
  • Toasted Almonds

Salad Dressing Ingredients:

  • Juice of one lemon
  • 1 teaspoon of  vinegar
  • 2 teaspoon of honey
  • 1 teaspoon of mustard powder
  • salt to taste
  • 2 teaspoon of olive oil20170523_190653


Marinate the chicken pieces with hung curd, ginger , garlic paste, red chilli powder, salt , garam masala powder,salt , tandoori chicken masala for at least 4 to 5 hours.

Heat oil in a saute pan on medium heat , add chicken and cook for 10 to 15 minutes or until evenly browned and cooked .

Set aside to cool.

Arrange the lettuce , spring onion, cucumber , onion on a serving bowl . Top with cooked chicken tikka.

Whisk together all ingredients for the dressing. Drizzle over salad and serve. Garnish the salad with toasted almonds.
