Hummus is a Levantine Dip made from cooked , mashed chick peas, blended with tahini sauce ( sesame paste ) , olive oil, lemon,garlic and salt.
This is an easiest dip that one can make .
Star Ingredient :
- 2 cups of boiled chickpeas
- 1 cup tahini sauce or 4 teaspoon of sesame seed
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 5 to 6 tablespoon of virgin olive oil
- Salt to taste
- 1 tablespoon of ground cumin
- Juice of one lemon
- 1 teaspoon of paprika
Put all the ingredients together in a food processor and begin to process, add the chickpeas liquid , if it becomes to dry because it needed to be a smooth puree.
Taste and adjust the seasoning .Put in a small serving bowl and garnish it with lemon juice, olive oil , and some paprika powder.
