Ghee Poa — Ratha Yatra Special

This is a typical dish which is only made on day’s like — Holi or Ratha Yatra — in India.

This is a type of deep fried fritters made of semolina —  Recipe is so simple that anyone can make it —-

Star Ingredient :

Semolina

Main Ingredients :

  • 250 gm of semolina
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 4 to 5 tbsp  dryfruits ( of your choice)
  • Ghee (Clarified butter ) for frying

Method:

Soak semolina overnight in water in a medium sized bowl.

In the morning , mix this with some milk, sugar and chopped dryfruits.  Make it a  dosa batter consistency.

Heat Ghee in a non-stick bottom pan and deep fry these fritters and serve hot .

Simple —- with such few ingredients , it’s a snack which can be had at any time of the day.

It should be soaked overnight for better results. Minimum 6 hours , and the level of water should be such that the semolina Get’s immersed, not more than that. Or otherwise it will get liquidy and you won’t be able to fry it and thanks for stopping by 😊
