Bengali Thali — Disaster Photography

Can you all , figure out the disaster I made — forgot to remove the glass bowl on top of the rice —  and didn’t actually notice — till my son pointed it out —-

First click 😥

Think about my frustration at that point — again I had to arrange all the dishes  in order to get a nice click —-

Was so determined to show you our Bengali Thali — just went ahead with this silly mistake  wala snap —-

Lesson learnt —- Have to be more patient -and careful —-

Now  some info about Bengali Thali —

Bengali Thali —- you can say the culmination of veg and non-veg dishes that gives you the best of aromatic  and simplistic Bengali food in one go —-  satisfying your extraordinary hunger—-

Rice is the main hero here — just like Kerala and Tamil Nadu

It starts with bitter gourd  and ends with sweet item  —

Today my thali comprises of —

  1. Sukto — dish prepared with bitter gourd
  2. Mugdal
  3. Jhiri jhiri alubhaji
  4. chingri diye puishaak
  5. Pona macher Kaliya
  6. Chicken Kasha
  7. Bhapa Ilish
  8. Dahi or curd
  9. Chaanch
  10. Rasmalai

Nevertheless to say after having this heavy meal — just head straight towards your bed —–   ðŸ™‚ 🙂

This is the 2nd one — without the glass bowl 😊
