Chicken Tikka Wrap — Indo western Style —-

This is a delicious high protein , super easy , healthy lunch or dinner option —- these wraps are filled with aromatic chicken tikka and flavours of  cucumber , tomato  and  onion —

Today I gave it a special touch of mayo and English mustard sauce which took it up one notch higher than the usual ones —

Main Ingredients:

Chicken Tikka

  • 500 gm of chicken boneless breast ( cut in cubes)
  • 4 tbsp of ginger, garlic  and green chilli paste
  • 4 tbsp of hung curd
  • 2 tsp of cumin powder
  • 2 tsp of coriander powder
  • 2 tsp of red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp red chilli flakes
  • 2 tsp of siracha chilli sauce
  • 1 sliced cucumber
  • 1 sliced tomato
  • 1 sliced onion
  • 2 tsp of lemon juice
  • Some lettuce leaves

Sauce:

  • 5 tbsp of english mustard sauce
  • 5 tbsp of mayo

Coriander and Pudina Chutney:

Take a bunch of coriander leaves and half bunch of pudina (mint leaves ) , garlic , salt and grind into a fine paste—

Tortilla or simple maida chapatis

  • 500 gm of all-purpose flours
  • 4 tsp of vegetable oil
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 cup of milk and required quantity of water

Level —- Easy

Method:

Marinate the chicken pieces with all the masala for  overnight or at least 4 to 5 hours —

Heat a grill pan and bask the chicken pieces with some butter or some oil and grill it for 20 minutes or so —

In the meantime mix in the mayo and  mustard sauce in a separate bowl–

Remove the chicken pieces after it is done from both the sides , transfer it into a bowl —

Add in the sliced onion, tomato and cucumber , salt and black pepper —

Tortilla or Chapati— Method:

Make a dough mixing all the ingredients — Keep it covered for 30 minutes —

Then make regular chapatis —

Take one tortilla at a time — spread some coriander pudina chutney , then spoon in the chicken mixture , lettuce leaves , spread some mayo and mustard sauce on top of it —

Wrap by folding the sides and then rolling the wraps upwards —

Slice the rolls diagonally and serve them with some mayo and mustard sauce together with coriander and pudina chutney on the side —
