Golden Juicy chicken fry —

This chicken fry turned out to be so juicy and super delicious with pan seared exterior crust — while it was juicy from the interior —

If you want a super crust on top — coat it with flour and fry them in super hot oil and for that super moist juiciness marinate the chicken in buttermilk brine for at least 7 to 8 hours or preferably overnight —
Main Ingredients :

  • 2 boneless chicken breast pieces
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp each of ginger , garlic powder
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 2 tsp of black pepper powder
  • 4 cups of flour
  • Salt to taste

Method :Wash and pat dry the chicken pieces — There will be two marination —

First marination will be lemon juice and some salt — keep it for 20 minutes or so —

Second marination will be ginger , garlic powder , buttermilk, black pepper powder — keep it overnight in the freezer —

Take out the chicken pieces half an hour before you mean to fry it — coat the pieces with flour , some black pepper , and salt —

Heat the oil in a large skillet — it should be really hot —

Carefully add the chicken pieces one at a time — Don’t turn it over before 5 minutes —

Flip it over after 5 minutes — this will make the outer coat crispy —

Now cook the chicken on medium heat — for 10 minutes more — this will help the chicken to cook faster in the middle and also retain its juices —

Cook until the pieces are done —

Remove the chicken pieces onto a cutting board — rest it for further 5 minutes — you can have it whole with some sautéed vegetables or cut into pieces and serve over some pasta salad —–
