It is a delicious dessert made of thickened milk —
It is very easy to prepare — only thing needed is patience —
I gave it a slight twist by adding Gulkand to it — this will give it a nice rose flavour —
It was such a hit — that it got finished within seconds —-
Main Ingredients :
- 1 litre full fat milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 tsp of gulkand (sweet rose petal reserve)
- Rose essence
- Crushed pistachios
Method:
Boil milk on a heavy bottomed pan–
Meanwhile make a paste of Gulkand with some milk onto it —
When the milk starts boiling , reduce the flame , let it simmer until it is reduced to half of its quantity—
Keep scraping from the side and continuously keep on stirring —
Now add in the sugar and gulkand paste — mix it well —
Stir continuously and keep scraping the sides — till it starts thickening —
Remove from flame — add in the rose essence — mix well —
Transfer into serving bowls — garnish with crushed pistachios —
Keep it in the refrigerator for an hour — serve chilled —-
