Paneer Paratha

Paneer paratha is a very popular paratha due to it’s delicious stuffing of perfectly balanced spice mixture , soft paneer and fresh coriander and mint leaves–

This is a Punjabi styled paratha — can be served as a breakfast , lunch or at dinner time —-

Ghee laced paratha with curd is just an awesome combo —

Main Ingredients:

For Dough:

  • 3 cups of wheat flour
  • some salt
  • 2 tsp of oil
  • Water as much required

For Filling:

  • 200 gms of Paneer
  • 1/2 tsp of cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp of garam masala powder
  • 1/2 tsp of chat masala
  • 1 tsp of amchur powder
  • 2 finely chopped green chillies
  • Few sprigs of chopped coriander and mint leaves
  • salt to taste
  • Ghee for roasting the parathas

Method:

Making of dough:

Take flour , salt and oil in a mixing bowl — Mix it till it crumbles in your hand—

Pour water little at a time — in order to make a smooth soft dough —

Cover the dough and allow it to rest for 25 to 30 minutes —

Making of filling:

Grate paneer in a medium sized bowl

Add in all the spices and mix in well with the paneer so that all the spices are uniformly mixed with the grated paneer —

Now make small balls out of the dough — roll out puris —- stuff the filling in the middle , close all the sides and then roll out again to make medium sized round parathas

Heat tawa on high flame —

Roast all the parathas one at a time with ghee —

Serve paneer paratha with curd or your favourite chutney —
