Chinese Bhel

This is a classic Indian Chinese style street food — – which is made with crispy fried noodles —

It tastes sweet and tangy —

A generous dose of sauces is added to bind the bhel together —

Combine the sauces just before serving or the noodles tends to turn soggy over time —
Main Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp of chopped garlic
  • 1/2 cup of shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup of carrot julinnes
  • 1/2 cup of spring onion — green and whites
  • Some sprouts
  • 1 tsp of oil
  • 1/2 cup of capsicum
  • 1/4 cup of tomato
  • 1/4 cup of schezwan sauce
  • 1/4 cup of tomato ketchup
  • 2 tsp of red chilli sauce (optional)
  • Salt to taste

Method:

Boil and fry the noodles — keep it aside

Heat oil on a non-stick pan , add the garlic and saute on high flame for a few seconds —

Add the spring onions, cabbage, carrot , tomato and capsicum – saute it for a while

Add in the sauce and the salt — cook on high flame, mix well — again for 30 seconds or so —

Remove from heat and transfer it into a big bowl , mix in the fried noodles –toss well —

Garnish with some spring onions and coriander —-
